Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about ownership, privacy, and how VideoZero works.

Is there a free tier, and can I cancel anytime?

Yes to both. You can start creating videos for free without a subscription, and paid plans can be upgraded, downgraded, or cancelled whenever you like. Videos you've already generated stay yours to use commercially even after you cancel.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe the video you want in plain language and VideoZero generates it for you. Under the hood every video is real animation code, so if you do want fine-grained control you can edit scenes directly — but that's entirely optional.

Can I edit or revise a video after generating it?

Yes. Nothing is one-shot — you can revise any video with plain-language instructions ("make the intro shorter", "change the accent colour") and regenerate it. For precise control you can also edit individual scenes directly. You can iterate as much as you like until it's right.

Can I upload my own images, logos, or assets?

Yes. You can bring your own files into a video to add branding or use your own visuals. Just keep your own backup copies — uploaded files aren't guaranteed to be preserved forever, and a video that references a missing file may stop displaying it correctly. Uploaded files are served from public links so they can appear in your videos, so don't upload anything confidential.

Can I keep using what I generate?

Yes — you own the videos and animations you create, and any VideoZero material in them (such as components, templates, icons, fonts, or stock media) is licensed to you perpetually for commercial use, on both the free and paid tiers. That licence doesn't expire if you later downgrade or cancel your subscription, so anything you've made stays yours to use. You're free to use your videos in your own courses, products, and presentations. Files you upload remain yours. (One limit: you can't take a single generated asset from a video and resell it on its own without adding your own creative work — see our Terms for the details.)

Can I use my videos commercially?

Yes. You can use your videos for business purposes, including videos generated on the free tier. You can embed them on your site, use them in courses and marketing, and share them anywhere. A few common-sense limits apply (for example, you can't pull an individual generated asset out of a video and resell it on its own, or use content that infringes someone else's rights) — the full list is in our Terms.

Are my projects private?

Yes — your projects are private on both the free and paid tiers. They aren't listed in any gallery, other users can't reference them, and we don't use them or your prompts in marketing. Anyone you give a link to a video or to an uploaded file can view it.

Do you use my data to train models?

No — we don't use your prompts, uploads, or videos to train AI models. Our Terms only let us use your content to run and improve the service, including support, fixing problems, and reviewing generations to make video generation better, and to enforce our Terms or meet legal obligations. We don't sell your personal information, and you can read exactly how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy.

What makes VideoZero videos so small?

Instead of exporting heavy video files, VideoZero renders your animation from lightweight code right in the viewer's browser. That means files measured in kilobytes instead of megabytes, instant playback, and no video-hosting or bandwidth bills — the same idea behind our near-zero delivery costs.

How do I share or embed my videos?

Every video comes with a shareable link, and because videos are just lightweight code they embed anywhere with our player — drop them into your website, docs, or learning platform with no video hosting to set up. Playback is instant for your viewers. Links and embeds stop working if you close your account, so export anything you want to keep first.

What is MCP?

MCP (the Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to external tools. VideoZero ships an MCP server, so you can connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible agent and have it create and edit videos for you right from your chat. See our MCP guide to get set up.
